How to create a backup of your existing billing data.
The purpose of this guide is to show you how to create a backup of your billing data, using Cost Explorer.
We advise customers to do this before they onboard their accounts to Crayon.
How-to
1: Go to Cost Explorer of the account(s).
2: Access Cost Explorer, set the parameters to what you think is best. 2.1: Daily and Last 12 Months gives a level of detail that is sufficient for most people.
3: Click Download CSV.
4: Open Excel, or equivalent software.
5: In the Data-pane of Excel, click From Text/CSV.
6: Transform data.
7: Remove Changed Type.
8: Close and Load.
